NaNoWriMo 2016

If you’ve read this blog at all around this time of year, you’ll know that I am not a huge fan of NaNoWriMo. I don’t think it lacks value entirely, but I think it sets a lot of people down a hard path. As encouraging as it can be to succeed, it can also be crushing to realize that you don’t have a saleable work at the end of your efforts.

I’ve spoken before about how you can move on NaNoWriMo and still create something that helps you get a publishable work at the end of the process. I don’t really intend to harp on it this year. Instead, I figure I might as well offer up something helpful.

As a point of interest, I have known many people who participate in NaNoWriMo each year who don’t visit the site. NaNoWriMo has a helpful site for you to visit and coordinate somewhat. The link I am including will direct you to the ‘how it works’ page. Hopefully, this will prove helpful to those of you who are participating but never actually realized that the site existed. As to myself? I’m going to head back to working on the projects I already have on my plate.
