Curious what I’ve been up to? Glad you asked. The endless stream of day-job hours hasn’t ended. Don’t let that dishearten you. The book under the working title of Ill’ln is complete. My editing on it is slow, but steady. I can’t say how long that will take.
I’ve also begun writing another novel under the working title of Meddle Not. Don’t worry about the writing preventing the editing. I write while out of the house and edit within. It prevents the two from getting in the way of one another.
This brings up something of interest. I can’t pinpoint the exact date, but I have crossed the million word mark in my writing recently. For those of you who aren’t authors, know that it is an important number. It’s often said that you don’t find your voice until after your first million words.
The improvement doesn’t stop at one million, but it is nice to know that I’ve hit that milestone. I expect that the improved confidence and greater familiarity show through my writing. You’ll have to let me know when you read the books. I know that I, for one, quite enjoy this new character.
