The same thing that gives you power is the thing that is slowly eating away at you. It seeks to consume all that you are. Worse, you are forced to rely on its power, knowing that each time it lends you strength, a little of your own is taken away with it.
Well suited for horror and fantasy games, The Cursed is inspired by settings like Princess Mononoke and Silent Hill. Worlds where the deeper you go, the more you are broken. The greater the strength you draw, the further down the rabbit hole you have to go. In the absence of success, sometimes simply not failing is enough.
