Mother Earth Monday – GMO-Free Heirloom and OP Seeds

A friend of mine sent me a link today that I had to share. I am setting aside the posting I had planned for today to instead bring you this link. So what is it you ask? Actually, if you are asking that you obviously don’t read the titles. Think about reading the titles to the postings more often. Seeds and the companies that distribute them. While I haven’t vetted every company on this list, I am quite familiar with a fair number of them in the US and can vouch that they are great companies.

As far as I know, only two on that list have had any ties to Monsanto seeds. Of those two, one I know worked very hard to phase out their Monsanto sourced seeds with a more ethical source. As to the other, it specializes in small batch seeds and has a blend of sources. If in doubt, look for words like Heirloom or Open Pollinated on catalogs of mixed nature.

What makes this catalog list even more useful than most is that it includes many countries beyond just the US. This means my readers from other countries can look for sources in their own area! Take a look, check out a few of the sites and maybe buy a few of the great old varieties. I will probably make a list of my favorite seed companies sometime in the near future. Until then, enjoy the link below!
